RESPONSIBILITY

  • Assume the duties of President-elect in the event of a vacancy in that office.
  • Serve as Chair of the Long-range Planning Committee.
  • Serve as Chair of the Nominating Committee.

TERM

  • Elected in accordance with by-laws.
  • May not succeed herself in another one-year term.

DUTIES

  • Review approved budget.   Keep track of all expenses incurred during your year.   Send your itemized expenses to the State Treasurer (use Voucher in State Yearbook or obtain additional copies from the State Treasurer.)  

NOTE:   Any expenses beyond the approved budget will require membership approval at Fall Council or State Convention, as appropriate.

  • Review Long-range Planning Committee and Nominating Committee information in the Standing Committees sections of this Procedural Manual.  
  • Advise/remind candidates for office of need for a skit (and handouts if so desired) as part of the entertainment at the Friday night Mixer at State Convention.
  • Select topic for one-minutes speeches to be given at State Convention by candidates for office.
  • Update and present the Rotational Plan at Fall Council.  The Rotational Plan appears in the General Section of this Procedural Manual.
  • Make changes to the Procedural Manual as appropriate and forward to the President of the Quills.
  • Forward all permanent files to your successor within 30 days following State Convention.
