The South Dakota State Council of Epsilon Sigma Alpha was chartered on a special day.
Founding members Mary, Sue, and Ellen established the first South Dakota chapter, Hy Chi. Our state has since grown with 20 chapters, 10 of which are in active status.
Governor Dennis Daugaard helped celebrate our 40th Anniversary in 2012 by proclaiming May 7-11, 2012 as Epsilon Sigma Alpha Week.

ESA isn't just helping those in need...it's also a great networking opportunity and a chance to get out and have fun...and we definitely have fun and party! Each chapter throughout the state has socials of every description:
How do we manage to do all this as well as work, raise children, attend school, etc?
Because we love what we do! The dedication to ESA and what ESA stands for is unmatched by any other organization. The love, concern, and devotion we have for our families, as well as for others, is far reaching. When you join ESA, you become a part of a large family - one that supports you, challenges you, and works with you to help you become your best self.
